Max Anstie continues his run of doubles at Lombardia

Just days after his attendance at the Team Green Try-out day, Max Anstie headed to take part in the Grand Prix of Lombardia – and he came away with yet another double win.

The 22-year-old Kawasaki rider rode to his second GP success in a row across the sand at Mantova and has now won eight of the last 12 motos – he's only been beaten once in the last three rounds when he crashed out while leading in the Czech Republic.

This now means that he's third in the FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship and 38 points from the red plate.

There are still 150 points up for grabs so Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki rider, Anstie is in with a chance of making a bid for the MX2 win.

Ross Burridge, Senior Racing and Marketing Co-ordinator, said: "It's fantastic that we're in with a shout of winning the MX2 Championship – especially as Max is performing so well in the British Championship too. Of course, we'd love both championships under our belt as it would highlight the hard work of the teams, riders and the KX machines.

"We support riders of all levels and to have a Team Green rider putting in such a fantastic performance, it's great inspiration to those riders who we support at a grassroots level too as it shows them what's possible.”

The next round will be held at Assen for round 16 on Sunday 30 August.
