More Arenacross success North of the Border!

After a successful start to the Arenacross season last weekend in Manchester, the team moved North of the Border to the awesome SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow to do battle in round 2. The competition was as intense as ever, yet Team Green scorched to more wins and podium positions.

KX65 rider, Ben Mustoe continued to show not just how capable the smallest KX machine really is, but also just how consistently fast he is. With two 2nd place finishes on the night, Mustoe took 2nd overall and cemented his 2nd place in the title chase.

With the Supermini class rapidly becoming the most successful for Team Green, teammates Kacey Hird and Bobby Bruce were once again on fire throughout the day. With a stunning four podium finishes between them, Hird stormed to a fantastic win in race 1, backing it up with a 3rd place in race 2. Not content in being left behind, Bruce had a fantastic night, achieving two podiums, finishing 2nd in both races and taking 2nd overall. The lads now sit in 2nd and 3rd in the Championship standings.

After a steady start to the season in Manchester, Dylan Woodcock was keen to show that his pre-season testing programme in California was not spent in vain. After some tweaks to his KX250F were made during the week leading up to the event, Woodcock had the tools he needed to claim two 2nd place finishes which gifted him the overall win on the evening. A stunning result which sees him move up the table to 3rd position moving into round 3.

The Pro class has proved to be incredibly competitive thus far, and Glasgow was to be no exception. Jack Brunnel and Hugo Basaula were in fine form on their KX450F machinery during the heat races, with Brunnel taking two 3rd place finishes, and Basaula crossing the line just behind in 4th. However, despite his frustrations, this was not enough to take Basaula through to the Main Event, meaning he had to fight it out in the LCQ races once again. Quickly becoming accustomed to this route into the Main Event, he again transferred with ease, however an unfortunate tumble, through no fault of his own meant he could only manage 9th. Brunnel also suffered some bad luck getting tangled up in a start straight crash, re-mounting and racing to 6th.

Team Green Kawasaki took 3rd overall in the team standings once again, and we now move to the Genting Arena in Birmingham this weekend for round 3.
