Hydro flow
It was another double podium for Team Green this past weekend as the Arenacross UK tour headed to Scotland and the SSE Hydro Arena, Glasgow for more bar banging action.
Both Jed Etchells and Lewis Hall were coming off second place finishes the week before at Newcastle but couldn't go one better in Glasgow. Jed once again grabbed a second while Lewis had to settle for third this time out. Jed again had to make a couple of passes to get into second but this time couldn't chase done the winner Harry Kimber like he did in Newcastle but it was still a solid ride to gain more championship points after his disappointing start to the series with a failed spark plug. Lewis was on fire, setting the fastest time in qualification but in his final he got a bad start and had to charge through the pack. He pushed hard but could make the passes towards the end of the race and had to settle for third.

“Both the lads rode well again but they need to get better starts if they want to win one of these with two round to go. They've got the speed and talent to do it but they're both giving away too much at the start. On a positive note, they've both improved so much at Arenacross because to be honest, it doesn't come naturally to either of them like it does with Dylan for example so I'm pleased with how they're coming along. They are both sharper with their skills than when they joined the team and if they keep working hard the wins will come for sure. Hopefully next week in Sheffield!”
Jed Etchells #7 - Big Wheeled KX85
“I'm happy with second but I wish I could've pushed Harry like last week. I didn't get the best start and by the time I got settled into second he had a good lead that I couldn't close on. I tried hard but it wasn't quite enough. I need to try and get with him or beat him out of the start to take a win, so I need to work on my starts.”
Lewis Hall #9 - Small Wheeled KX85
“I'm felt better on the bike this week, but I'm still a bit sore. Hopefully next week I'll be back to 100%. I was pleased to qualify fastest but I messed up my start in the final and that made it hard. I had to battle through and I closed in on Preston (Williams) and Kurt (Griffiths) but I just couldn't pass them. I didn't want to crash again and hurt myself so I wasn't quite as aggressive as I normally am when I'm fully fit. Hopefully when I am I'll get a better start and win.”
