Searle back on the top step!
The latest round of the Maxxis British Championship took place this weekend at the sandy Desertmartin track in Northern Ireland under sunny skies. After a start to the season marred with injury, Bike It DRT Kawasaki rider, Tommy Searle was to end the day back on the top step of the podium.
The MX1 KX450F rider started the day well by qualifying in pole position giving him the first gate pick and the best chance to get ahead of the pack from the start. This is exactly what he did as he stormed to race 1 victory. Race 2 proved to be slightly harder for Searle as he battled with Championship rival Bobryshev, but the Kawasaki rider held strong and took the checquered flag for the second time, giving him the overall win.
Searle now sits in 7th place in the Championship standings as the series moves to the Scottish based track of Duns in 3 weeks time.
