Buchan makes his mark in the Park!

The eighth round of the British Superbike Championship took place at the crowd's favourite Cadwell Park this past weekend and FS-3 Racing Kawasaki rider, Danny Buchan stamped his mark on the title chase finishing both races on the podium.

After taking his maiden Superbike win earlier this year at Knockhill, Buchan was quick off the blocks at the Lincolnshire based circuit never being far away from the top of the timesheets during practise and qualifying. Race 1 was held under sunny skies and in front of a huge crowd, and Buchan stormed to the front of the pack and took his second career win in fine style! With the showdown looming, Buchan knew he needed as many points as possible from the weekend, and settled for a third place in race two after struggling with rear tyre grip. He now sits in fourth place in the standing s and has mounted up a pile of podium credits to help him in his quest for Championship glory!

After a tough year to date, Gearlink Kawasaki had a rider change for Cadwell Park with the returning James Westmoreland taking the sole seat on the ZX-6R whilst Ben Wilson recovers from his crash at the previous round. “Westy” took to the bike incredibly well and managed to take two top five finishes including a fantastic podium in the Feature Race.

The Junior Superstock class continues to be very strong for Kawasaki and the new ZX-6R. Caolan Irwin romped to victory in what was his first ever BSB win, and he was closely followed across the line by Ben Luxton for an awesome Kawasaki 1-2!

The series now moves to Oulton Park on 6-8 September for the final round before the Showdown.
